Parametric studies using SABR-Gear paired with SABR

Parametric studies using SABR-Gear paired with SABR
Watch on YouTube

In this trilogy of workshop videos, David Parkin-Moore demonstrates how you can perform parametric studies using SABR-Gear paired with SABR to determine the optimal design of a gear pair in an Electric Vehicle (EV) transmission. The videos cover the following:

  • Concept gear design
  • Optimisation of a gear pair
  • Using filters to select the optimal gear design

Developed to integrate into the design process and reduce product development time, SABR provides an intuitive graphical interface allowing the transmission system to be modelled at a level of detail appropriate to the current design phase.
