ATZ Live - Heavy-Duty On- and Off- Highway Engines 2023

Meistersingerhalle, Nuremburg, Germany7-8 November 2023

Join us at the ATZ Live 2023 Heavy-Duty On- and Off- Highway Engines 2023 conference where we will be presenting a technical paper on the Combustion and Thermal Development of a Heavy-Duty Hydrogen IC Engine.

Manufacturers of large engines and their components also have to pay increasing attention to the legal requirements for reducing emissions. Even heavy-duty highway engines need to be put to the test in order to provide the required exhaust gas quality in every performance range and to reduce fuel consumption. This 18th International MTZ Conference will take a practical look at system optimization and component development for compact engines. The conference will also show the progress made by engine manufacturers in the development of on-highway engines, among other things, in order to optimize drive systems in terms of fuel consumption and emissions.

Internal combustion engines will continue to dominate in the future, especially in long-distance road freight transportation, as well as in agriculture, shipping, and aviation. For that reason, fuels or hydrogen produced from electricity that has been generated in a carbon-neutral process are the only possibilities for meaningful de-fossilisation and an effective reduction in emissions. Many of the papers presented at this year's conference deal with actual implementation. Wherever possible, the development of hybrid and battery-electric drive systems is also steadily progressing.

At this conference engine developers and designers of commercial vehicles, mobile machinery, and marine and stationary equipment will find out about the latest developments. The 18th conference will be supplemented by an engine factory tour at MAN Truck & Bus, Site Nuremberg.
