Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Sales Manager to join our team in Japan. The role is to acquire new project work and software license business from new potential customers while achieving a growth in sales for existing customers. The role also manages license renewals and price increases. Managing key accounts, the role is to identify customers’ problems in the areas of powertrain, exhaust systems, vehicle system modelling with CAE. Based at home, with extensive travel in West Japan, the target is to conduct 3-5 sales meetings with customers per week. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Business Development Manager in Japan as well as technical support engineers in Japan, Czech Republic and the UK. The role will report to the Business Development Manager in Japan.
The Sales Manager will also join the conferences across Japan periodically to meet with new potential customers.
The preferred residence is between Nagoya to Fukuoka (West of Japan) or in the Kanagawa, Tokyo, Saitama areas.
Main responsibilities
- Create the sales strategy for customers located in West/Chubu regions of Japan
- Conduct sales meetings with customers to sell new licenses and project work
- Make sure the renewal orders will be placed by existing customers
- Make sure the business meetings with new potential and existing customers are conducted 3-5 times per week by Teams or Face to Face
- Increase the number of the users and acquire the new license and project work
- Manage sales status on CRM, reporting to Business Development Manager
- Act as a bridge for contracting, orders, invoicing between internal and customers supported internally to make documentation
- Join marketing activities such as for conferences and exhibitions
Qualifications
- English: at business level, both written and spoken, for professional communication with customers and colleagues
- Business Experience: Prior work experience in a manufacturing or software development company within the mobility industry
- Sales Expertise: Proven experience in direct sales
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage with customers and internal teams, demonstrating excellent business etiquette

- Work at home, with frequent business travel to West/Chubu regions of Japan 2-3 times per week, or
